Vertex Piston Kit

Vertex is the original equipment (OE) supplier of two-stroke pistons for KTM, known for its exceptional quality and performance. These gravity-cast pistons are made from premium aluminum alloys with a 12-21% silicon content.

The high silicon content helps control thermal expansion, which occurs when the engine reaches operating temperatures. By reducing this expansion, Vertex pistons maintain tight tolerances, offering better power output, lower noise, and a longer lifespan. The increased silicon also minimizes wear on the piston skirt, further extending the piston’s life. Additionally, each piston is coated with a unique Molybdenum Disulfide (MOS2) coating, which facilitates the break-in process and reduces wear over time.
