How It Works

Unlike conventional oil filter wrenches that grip the outside of the filter, the MCS Oil Filter Removal Tool uses a hardened spiral extractor that threads into the outer shell of the oil filter. As you turn the handle anti-clockwise, the spiral digs deeper into the filter canister, increasing its grip with every rotation. This self-tightening action allows seized, damaged or overtightened spin-on filters to be removed quickly without relying on external gripping surfaces.
